As a founder of a boutique online marketing agency myself, I will be the first to tell you that knowing your social media target audience plays an integral role in your content marketing efforts and for long-term success. By analysing your insights across all social media platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram, you will give yourself the opportunity to create a fool-proof way of making an impactful content strategy that will eventually allow you to achieve your overall business objectives; and who wouldn’t want that?

When you have intentional presence on social media, your customers and potential clients are provided with a chance to discover you and what you have to offer. This in turn builds on the authenticity and credibility of your brand within the online space. Yes, social platforms are constantly changing, and there is a high expectation to ‘keep up’ to ensure your online efforts are well-spent. However, it you’re serious enough about the longevity and authenticity of your business, you will be comfortable with reflecting on your daily activity and efforts to see what’s working for your audience, and what’s not.

When it comes to REAL social media growth, make time to focus on building an authentic and highly engaged community who genuinely care about your business and what you have to offer. Over time you may become frustrated with slow growth and be tempted to use bots or buy followers; but you’ll find that this pathway will only compromise your reputation you’ve worked so incredibly hard for.
